Rates are European Central Bank reference (mid-market) rates, refreshed several times a day on weekdays. They are for information only and may differ from the rates offered by banks or card issuers.
Yes. After the first launch with a connection, rates are cached on your device and conversions work with no connectivity at all. The app shows how fresh the cached rates are.
The ECB publishes reference rates once per business day, so the most recent rates on a Sunday are legitimately Friday's.
